Rylee Blade, a sophomore at Corona Santiago High, took third in the Division 1 girls final at the CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno. Blade, who took 33rd last year, covered the 5-kilometer layout in 17:36.5 to help Corona Santiago grab ninth overall with 228 points. Blade qualified to compete Dec. 3 at Nike Cross Nationals at Glendoveer Golf Course in Oregon.
