Braelyn Combe, a sophomore at Corona Santiago High in California, won the Division 1-2 girls varsity team sweepstakes race by covering the 2.93-mile layout in 17:33 at the 75th Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational Presented by Nike in Walnut, Calif. Combe, a Rancho Cucamonga transfer, helped the Sharks secure second place in the Division 1-2 team sweepstakes race by a 65-81 margin against Claremont, but Corona Santiago was the top Division 1 program in the race, despite competing without junior standout Rylee Blade. Combe improved from 18:12 in her Mt. SAC debut last season.
